Project Overview

Hayati Engineering & Construction Company (HECC) recently undertook an emergency slope protection project under the Patuakhali Bridge as part of the Dumki-Lawkathi sub-project, commissioned by the Patuakhali O&M Division, BWDB. This critical infrastructure project aimed to stabilize and protect the bridge’s slope from erosion and potential damage, ensuring the safety and longevity of the structure.

HECC deployed its experienced team and advanced engineering techniques to deliver rapid and effective solutions, safeguarding the bridge and surrounding area from environmental and water-induced risks.

Project Goal

The goal of the Slope Protection Work under Patuakhali Bridge is to prevent erosion and ensure the bridge’s structural integrity by stabilizing its slopes. This project, undertaken on an emergency basis, aims to:

  1. Safeguard the bridge foundation from water-induced erosion and other environmental factors.
  2. Protect the surrounding infrastructure and land from potential collapse or degradation.
  3. Ensure the continuous safe operation of the Patuakhali Bridge for vehicles and pedestrians.
  4. Enhance the durability and resilience of the bridge by using modern slope stabilization techniques.
  5. Mitigate flood and erosion risks in the area, contributing to long-term environmental stability.

The project is critical to maintaining regional connectivity and ensuring the local community’s safety.
